Dancer’s Clock
Dancer’s Clock is a 12 piece collection made entirely of 4 way stretch knits.
All the bottoms in the collection are made with two layers of knit. This design and technical decision helps to make leggings more acceptable for every day wear. The double layer prevents being able to see through pants and hides cellulite one would normally see with a leggings that are currently on the market. The double layer enables the pants to cling and slide over the leg more smoothly creating a better fit. Each garment in the collection is tailored to each model’s body very closely. This creates a clean look and tight fit enhancing the geometry of the style lines in the garments. This is something not easily seen on a hanger but will be better revealed in the show. The high contrast in fabrics help to do this as well.
The sweaters in this collection help to transition the active wear apparel to day wear. The length of each piece helps to cover the buttock making the tight fit of the leggings more subtle and acceptable for everyday wear.
The bras in this collection function as both a sports bra and a push up bra making them easy to wear around the clock. This was done intentionally for women who have busy schedules. She would be able to get from place to place quickly without worrying about the fit of her shirt over her sports bra. This helps to create an efficient lifestyle. This drive behind the collection.
The beauty of this collection is that this doesn’t have to be the lifestyle of the customer. This expands the target market and create bigger profit.
Elastic and Zigzag stitching were used to create visual interest. They are often in a contrasting color.
